<p>PURPOSE:To improve convenience in use and safety in operation by a method wherein a moving base table is moved toward its home position in cooperation with a releasing operation of a transfer sheet transporting system. CONSTITUTION:In the event that a device is stopped while a developing device is present below a transfer sheet transporting system 35, a handle fixed to a releasing shaft 204 is rotated to release the transfer sheet transporting system 35 and then a releasing shaft 204 is rotated in a direction of arrow B. Due to this fact, a bevel gear 300 is rotated and the second bevel gear 302 engaged with the bevel gear 300 and a lever 303 are started to rotate in directions of arrows C and D. As this movement is carried out, the developing device is pushed and moved with an extremity end 303a of the lever 303 being abutted against a bent end surface 120' of a moving base table 120. A ratio of gear teeth of the bevel gears 300 and 302 is determined in such a way a rotational angle of a releasing shaft 204 is increased at the bevel gear 302 and the lever 303. With such an arrangement, damage of a developing sleeve, toner contamination of an adsorption roller 41 are avoided and simplification and improvement of efficiency in jam processing work can be attained.</p> |
