METHOD FOR REMOVING MERCURY FROM EXHAUST GAS OF WASTE INCINERATION FURNACE

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove mercury by injecting an aq. soln. contg. heavy metals and an aq. soln. contg. a sulfurizing agent respectively by using injection nozzles into the exhaust gases emitted form a waste incineration furnace in such a manner that both aq. solns. are mixed. CONSTITUTION:The waste is incinerated by the waste incineration furnace 1 and the exhaust gases thereof are sent to a mercury capturing device 2. Flyashes A and the vapor-form mercury B are contained in the exhaust gases. The aq. soln. contg. the heavy metals and the aq. soln. contg. the sulfurizing agent are injected respectively by using the injection nozzles into the exhaust gases in the mercury capturing device 2 in such a manner that both aq. solns. are mixed. The heavy metal sulfide C is formed by mixing both aq. solns. The vapor-form mercury B sticks to the heavy metal sulfide C and the heavy metal sulfide C stuck with the vapor-form mercury B sticks to the flyashes A. The exhaust gases contg. the flyashes A are sent to a dust collector 3 and is subjected to a dust collection treatment; thereafter, the exhaust gases are discharged from a chimney 4 into the atm.
