PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for the image formation of a sheet fed from a manual insertion section by controlling the copying action of multiple sheets held in a re-feed section with a control means. CONSTITUTION:A control system receives signals from a sheet size sensor 82, a sheet presence sensor 83, and an operation panel 84 via an interface 81 and drives and controls a sheet conveying means 85, an image forming device 86, a flapper switching means 87 and a re-feed means 88. Multiple sheets fed from a manual insertion means one by one are held in the re-feed means 88 to wait until image formation is instructed. For the double-faced or multiplex copying of sheets via manual insertion, sheets are fed into the re-feed means 88, then a copying action of the held sheets can be simultaneously performed by only the instruction of image formation, and the time required for copying can be shortened. |
