DATA TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION BUFFER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To allow a data processing unit side to handle transmission/reception buffers as one unit at all times and to simplify the data transmission/reception processing by selecting one among transmission/reception buffers and connecting the selected buffer to the data processing unit. CONSTITUTION:A reception control section 11 seeks an idle reception buffer A12a or B12b and stores a reception data to either of them and informs the selection to a changeover circuit 21 in terms of a notice signal 17a or 17b. The circuit 21 checks whether or not a data processing unit 13 reads a data from other reception buffer and connects a reception buffer storing the data and the processing unit 13 when the processing unit is not reading the data and informs it to the processing unit 13 in terms of a notice signal 19 that the data is stored in the reception buffer. When the processing unit reads the data, the circuit 21 connects the reception buffer and the processing unit 13 after the end of reading and informs the connection in terms of the signal 19. A changeover circuit 22 of a transmission buffer informs it to a transmission control section 15 in terms of a notice signal 18a or 18b that the data write of the processing unit 13 is finished to a transmission buffer A14a or B14b and connects an idle transmission buffer and the processing unit 13 to store the data.
