<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to use a special safety code and to simplify the constitution by detecting a defect in the operation of the microcomputer according to whether or not there is a serial clock signal and resetting the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:If the serial clock is not supplied from the microcomputer 1 within a specific period, namely, if the operation of the microcomputer 1 is defective, the output of a monostable multivibrator 7 falls to an L level. When an analog switch 8 is open, the output of the monostable multivibrator 7 is sent to the microcomputer 1, which is reset. The analog switch 8 is turned on and off with a source voltage applied to controlled systems 2 - 5, so only when the controlled systems 2 - 5 are active, the output of the monostable multivibrator 7 is used as a reset pulse. Consequently, a special safety code need not be used and the constitution is simplified.</p> |
