PURPOSE:To attain a disk packaging with high density and at the same time to obtain a head actuator having a low level of vibration by using a pair of arms extending in the directions opposite to the surface where the actuator revolving shaft of an oscillating arm and the revolving shaft of a disk are bound. CONSTITUTION:Both arms 44 and 46 are attached to the same oscillating actuator revolving shaft P and also extended radially in the directions opposite to the surface A-A' where the revolving shafts P and Q are connected. When a UP head 43 is accessed toward its inner circumference, a DN head 45 moves toward its outer circumference. In such constitution, the disk surface gap is reduced. When a disk zone is used with division, the above-mentioned constitution is applied. Then a pair of conventional UP and DN heads are attached to each arm tip in the same gap. Thus it is possible to make an arm take charge of an inner zone and the other arm take charge of an outer zone respectively. |
