Indirectly heated reserve cathode.. G6A. Consists of a cylindrical hollow container which is closed at one end and thus forms the cathode body with frontal emission surface whose hollow space accommodates a heating arrangement and which is connected to the cathode body via an insulating connector. The insulating connector consists of round aluminium oxide bars which penetrate the hollow cylindrical body near the lower, open end. The aluminium oxide bars support a profiled sheet metal piece and the system is used to keep the heater element in the central position. The heater support is made from two molybdeum sheets joined together by molybdenum carabide. Especially suited for metal capillary cathode for electron tubes and also high frequency tubes. |
