PURPOSE:To improve an image in sensitivity and color-forming density by incorporating a polymer having a surface tension of 25dyn/cm or less in a dye thermal transfer image receiving layer provided on a sheet substrate surface. CONSTITUTION:A polymer having a surface tension of 25dyn/cm or less is incorporated in a thermal transfer image receiving layer provided on a sheet substrate surface. As the polymer, various types of fluorine polymers, silicone polymers, and fatty ester polymers can be used. The resin having dyeability per se is preferably used, but a polymer alloy compounded with the dyeable resin in a substantially compatible state, a polymer blend in a phase separation state, or the like can be used. For example, a reactive product, i.e., a crosslinked polymer, obtained by reacting a silicone of dimethyl siloxane polymer having reactive hydroxyl group, a polyester polymer having reactive hydroxyl group, and a bifunctional or more crosslinker with each other can be used. In this manner, an image can be improved in sensitivity and color-forming density. |
