Disclosed herein is a method for separating salt from naturally occurring salt (rock salt or solar salt) which comprises a first separating step of dissolving naturally occurring salt in water, adding to the aqueous solution a strong acid containing sulfate ions, thereby adjusting it to low pH, adding to the aqueous solution an alkaline agent, thereby adjusting it to high pH and forming precipitates, separating the precipitates from the remaining aqueous solution, and a second separating step of concentrating the remaining aqueous solution, cooling the concentrate, thereby forming precipitates, and separating the precipitates form the aqueous solution. |
