The apparatus includes a cylindrical lens housing (1) for accommodating a plurality of lenses (L) and slidably installed in a lens housing guide part (2). A lens housing carrying sleeve (3) is installed at a side of the lens housing (1) in parallel with the lens housing (1), and the sleeve (3) is coupled with a lens housing carrying screw (4) so as for the sleeve (3) to be movable to and fro in the axial direction. A sensor (S) is installed at the rear of, and on the optical axis of, the lens group (L) so as to detect the optical beams which have passed through the lens group (L). A lever (1b) is formed at a side of the rear portion of the lens housing (1), and an interrupter (1c) of the lever (1b) extends in the axial direction of the lens housing (1).
