A-18483/A Substituted dibenzo¢d,g!¢1,3,2!dioxaphosphocins There are disclosed novel substituted dibenzo¢d,g!¢1,3,2!dioxaphosphocins of formula I wherein R1 and R2 are each independently of the other C1-18alkyl, C2-12cycloalkyl, phenyl or C1-4alkyl -substituted phenyl or phenyl-C1-4alkyl, R3 is hydrogen or methyl, n is 1 or 2, and A, when n = 1, is C1-30alkyl, C5-12cycloalkyl, phenyl-C1-4alkyl or C2-18alkyl which is interrupted by -NR-, -S- or -O-, and, when n = 2, is a direct bond, C1-12alkylene or C2-12alkylene which is interrupted by -NR-, -S- or -O-, and R is C1-12alkyl or phenyl. These novel compounds are suitable for stabilising organic material, especially synthetic polymers, and are particularly suitable for use as processing stabilisers (heat stabilisers) for polyolefins.
