METHOD FOR PATTERNING POLYESTER FABRIC

摘要

PURPOSE:To impart a pattern with an extent of a deep color by irradiating the surface of a dyed fabric composed of polyester fiber with ultraviolet ray pulsed laser beams at a specific wavelength using a masking member placed on the aforementioned surface. CONSTITUTION:A masking member, e.g. a stainless steel plate provided with a color pattern is placed on the surface of a dyed fabric prepared by dyeing a fabric composed of polyester fiber to mask the surface. The aforementioned surface is then irradiated with ultraviolet ray pulsed laser beams having <=380nm wavelength to form an unconventional pattern by a difference in deep color between parts masked from the irradiation with the above-mentioned laser beams and unmasked parts.
