PURPOSE:To manufacture a lens having no clouding or the like generated by a eluted bonding agent or the like by providing a sheet-shaped material, having no bonding properties before winding, with bonding properties at the time of winding. CONSTITUTION:A liquid curable composition is injected into a mold formed by encircling the side face peripheries of two molds by means of a sheet-shaped material and polymerized therein to mold a plastic lens. In that case, the sheet- shaped material is not provided with bonding properties before winding, and provided with bonding properties at the time of winding. As said sheet-shaped material is provided with all the functions such as retaining the mold, retaining the spaces of mold and closing the liquid curable composition, and it can be fusion bonded by the energy such as heat, pressure, infrared rays or far infrared rays. The thickness of the sheet-shaped material is preferably less than 200mum for conventional plastic, and its lower limit is approximately the thickness not to generate buckling when the mold is assembled. As for the material quality of the sheet-shaped material, plastic or rubber, for example, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, nylon or the like which can provide bonding properties by itself is preferred. |
