PRIMER FOR DETECTION OF MYCOPLASMA AND DETECTION OF MYCOPLASMA USING THE SAME PRIMER

PURPOSE:To enable the subject ready, rapid and sensitive detection by combining specified nucleic acid fragments, adding the resultant primer to a sample subjected to cytoclasis and carrying out a lengthening reaction of the primer. CONSTITUTION:A primer (A) is obtained by combining a nucleic acid fragment of formula I or its mutated sequence with another nucleic acid fragment of formula II or its mutated sequence. A labeling substance such as fluorescein (derivative) or/and a group (e.g. biotin residue) capable of bonding to a solid carrier (e.g. polystyrene ball) is introduced to one or both of the components in the primer (A) to produce a primer (B) for detection of mycoplasma. A sample such as an animal cell-cultured solution is then subjected to cytoclasis using ultrasonic treatment, etc., and the component (B) is added to the resultant treated sample (C) to carry out a lengthening reaction of the primer. A lengthening reaction product (D) can be obtained thereby and an operation for detection of the synthetic nucleic acid chain produced in the component (D) is carried out, thus carrying out the objective detection of mycoplasma.
