OPERATIONAL DIRECTION SETTING DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC CASH REGISTER

PURPOSE:To freely set the operational direction of an electronic cash register (ECR) by detecting the approaching direction of an operator and rotating the main body of the ECR in the direction opposed to the approaching direction. CONSTITUTION:The ECR main body is installed on a freely rotatable pedestal 4 through a rotation mechanism 5, and the direction where the operator is approaching is detected by a front left/right sensor 1l and 1r, left-side sensor 2l, right-side sensor 2r, back-side sensor respectively. The pedestal 4 is rotated through the mechanism 5, and the ECR main body is rotated in the opposite direction to the direction where the operator is approaching. The setting of the operational direction of the ECR is freely performed so that the ECR main body can be operated while effectively utilizing space without securing the individual operational area and effectively utilizing a sales area.
