[Also in Division B8] Sheets separated from a plurality of stacks, 10, Fig. 4, by devices comprising a vibrator 37 (which serves to spread out the sheets) and a roller 5 which separates the spread-out sheets, are fed by driven rollers 2 on to a collating conveyer 30 whereon groups of collated; sheets 38 are entrained by fingers 32 and aligned against a truing bar 40, Fig. 5, alignment being assisted by vibrator 37. At a station 41 the sheets are spread-out againagainst a sloping bar 42, Fig.. 6 extending in the direction of the conveyer by a further vibrator 37 and the edges of the sheets are glued at 43 by a frustoconical coating roller 46 dipping into a basin 45 of glue. The glued sheets are re-aligned by silicone rubber-coated rollers 50. At station 52 the adhesive is dried by infra-red radiators, the bound sheets are deposited in bin 53 and aligned by vibrator 54.
