PURPOSE:To facilitate setting of the effective scanning area of a camera tube over the area of a photoconductive film having a uniform thickness by forming a mark indicating the direction of the shift on the photoconductive film when the photoconductive film is formed, and by joining the photoconductive film and the mesh electrode so that the direction of the mesh line of the mesh electrode will make a predetermined angle with the mark. CONSTITUTION:A mark 8 indicating the direction for moving a mask for evaporation is formed on the periphery of a photoconductive film 5. When the target faceplate 2 is fitted to the open end of the vacuum envelope, it is assembled by setting the mark 8 to the direction which makes an angle of 45 deg. to the mesh lines (m), i.e. the horizontal scanning direction of the electron beam. In this manner, the effective scanning area P can be adjusted to the area of the photoconductive film 5 having a uniform thickness. |
