PURPOSE:To prevent such a phenomenon that an image is blurred during preservation after thermal transfer, especially, during preservation under high temp. environment by providing an image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin capable of receiving a dye on a support and adding a compound containing a specific unit to the image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin capable of receiving a dye is provided to a support and a compound containing a unit represented by formula [1] (wherein m1 and m2 are respectively 0 or 1, B is -O- or -NH-, A is a 1-50C aliphatic divalent group and M is a cation capable of forming a salt along with sulfonic acid or a cationic radical) is added to the image receiving layer. This image receiving layer has function receiving the dye transferred from a thermal transfer dye donating material at the time of printing to be dyed therewith and is pref. formed as a film with thickness of 0.5-50mum containing a dye acceptive substance alone or containing the same along with other binder substance. |
