PURPOSE:To manufacture a display where the thickness of a shade member can be reduced and the numerical aperture of an opened portion and a display capacity can be improved by using alignment marks, etc., respectively, and adopting an overlapping process so that misregistration can be reduced to or below a prescribed standard. CONSTITUTION:Color filter masks 1, 2, 3 and a stripe mark 4 are piled up such that the misregistration of the filter marks 1, 2, 3 and the stripe mark 4 is reduced below a prescribed standard position. Next, the mask 4 and the transparent electrode are piled up such that the misregistration is reduced below the standard by use of register marks provided at the mask 4 and the transparent electrode installed on the translucent substrate 10 at SEG side, respectively. Moreover, the translucent substrate 10 at SEG side and the translucent substrate at COM side are sticked together through a liquid crystal layer such that the misregistration of the mask 4 and the transparent electrode at COM side is reduced below the standard by use of the register marks provided at the mask 4 and the transparent electrode, respectively. It is thereby possible to reduce the thickness of the mask 4 and improve the numerical aperture and a display capacity. |
