The steering knuckle device has a knuckle unit (10) mounted in an upper bore (26) in a bearing (25) and this absorbs the radial forces. Its upper end lies co-planar with or below the upper edge of the bore. A king pin is mounted in a lower bore (23) in a bearing (22). A brake yoke is arranged so that part of it lies above the upper end of the king pin. The bearings (22) are axially pretensioned by a externally threaded securing element (37) screwed into a thread (32) in a lower bore. |
