PURPOSE:To compress the transmission data quantity with no discordance produced between an unconverted sentence and a converted one by transmitting the words included in a communication text after converting them into symbols. CONSTITUTION:A text transmitter 8 is provided with a transmission side symbol converter 2 and a reception side symbol adverse converter 3. The converter 2 detects the words stored in a word-symbol dictionary 6 out of an inputted communication text 1, reads the symbols corresponding to the detected words out of the dictionary 6, and replaces the detected words with the symbols to send these symbols to a text receiver 9 as a transmission text 5 via a public circuit. Meanwhile the converter 3 restores and outputs a symbol-word correspondence dictionary 7 and the text 1 through the receiver 9. Thus the transmission data quantity can be compressed with no discordance produced between the unconverted and converted sentences. |
