PURPOSE:To hold a gap between a driving roller and a specified member positively by providing contact members for bringing a part of the inner peripheral surface of a latent image carrier into contact with the driving roller, and protruding members provided at both end parts of the latent image bearer so as to protrude in the inner radial direction of the latent image bearer and to be brought into sliding contact with both end parts of the driving roller. CONSTITUTION:The specified parts of both end part outer peripheral surface of a latent image carrier 1 are pressed by a pair of pressing members 3, so that the inner peripheral surface of the latent image carrier 1 is brought into contact with a driving roller 2 by the pressing member 3. When the driving roller 2 is rotated/driven, the latent image carrier 1 is rotated/driven in the same direction as the driving roller 2 by frictional force generated between the surface of the driving roller 2 and the inner peripheral surface, in contact with the driving roller surface, of the latent image carrier 1. Accordingly, even in case the latent image carrier is not uniformly driven, the latent image carrier 1 is prevented from being drawn to one side since a pair of protruding members 4 provided at the latent image carrier 1 are in sliding contact with both end parts of the driving roller 2. A toner and foreign material are thereby kept from entering into a gap between the latent image carrier 1 and the roller 2 so as to prevent the generation of irregularity and damage of the latent image carrier. |
