PURPOSE:To obtain a battery with large energy density and high cycle performance by constituting the battery with a negative electrode made of a carbon material such as cokes and a heat-treated polymer and a complex of a metal generating alloying reaction with lithium, a positive electrode and a separator impregnated with an electrolyte and separating both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Cokes are crushed and mesh-passed and mixed with aluminum as a metal generating alloying reaction with mesh-passed lithium, and it is pressed to form a negative electrode 6. A positive electrode 4 is made of manganese dioxide, and a battery is assembled. The negative electrode 6 is pressed to a negative electrode current collector 7 fixed on the inner bottom face of a negative electrode can 2, a separator 8 is formed with a porous thin film made of polypropylene, and lithium perchlorate is dissolved in propylene carbonate for use as an electrolyte. The battery with large energy density and high cycle performance is obtained. |
