<p>PURPOSE:To assure the quality of communication by detecting the presence of rejected split information from the transmitted split information by a receiving side, and giving the information of the contents of this detection to a transmitting side or, at least, one side of a communication network. CONSTITUTION:When a series of data are transmitted as plural cells, the rejection of the cell is caused by a congested state in the communication network, and the information in the course of transmission is sometimes omitted. The cell inputted from an ATM layer processing part 2 is inputted to an SN supervisory part 13, and the serial number of the inputted cell is supervised, and if there is an omitted number, a counter 14 counts '1'. After executing counting for definite period of time in this way, if a count value is over a some value, the count value is transmitted to the communication network or the transmitting side 1 through a physical layer processing part 7 after ATM-exchange-processing it by the ATM layer processing part 8. Thus, the receiving state of the receiving side can be grasped at the transmitting side 1 or the communication network 30, and the communication quality is assured.</p> |
