PURPOSE:To surely give route guidance to a drive by calculating a guide point ahead to the destination by a fixed distance from the present place on a running guide route, and displaying a present place mark and a guide ahead mark overlapped in a map picture based on a map data in a display means. CONSTITUTION:A present place detecting part 3, guide point ahead calculating part 5b and a map display control part 6 are provided, a running guide route is obtained by referring to a map data from a destination data and a departure data or a present place data while detecting the present place in running, a guide point ahead to the destination by a fixed distance from the present place is calculated on this running guide route, and a present place mark and a guide point ahead mark are overlapped in a map picture, containing the present place and the guide point ahead, and displayed in a display means 2, based on the map data. In this way, a direction to be advanced is easily grasped by a driver by obtaining a feeling such as naturally guided by the guide ahead mark. |
