摘要 PURPOSE:To display the next memory with no misoperation by utilizing internal potential by a space charge, formed in a display discharge cell by a scanning pulse to an auxiliary positive pole and by a negative pulse to a negative pole, and by a wall charge, formed in a dielectric layer surface of a display positive pole, so as to perform data write. CONSTITUTION:An initial charge is formed between a pilot positive pole 8A, provided in an auxiliary discharge cell 5A, and a pilot negative pole 4A, arranged vertically opposed to the pole 8A, in order to transfer this charge a charge is formed in a display discharge cell 5 by applying a pulse to an auxiliary positive pole 8 and pulse voltage to a negative pole 4 by the timing before write in a preceding line, and further data write is performed by a scanning pulse of the auxiliary positive pole 8 and a negative pulse of a display positive pole 7. Here, internal potential by a space charge, formed in the display discharge cell by the scanning pulse of the auxiliary positive pole and the negative pulse to the negative pole, and by a wall charge, formed in a dielectric layer surface of the display positive pole, is utilized to perform data write. In this way, successively performing memory display action can be continued with no misoperation.
