Thermocouple element fitted to centre of rotary grate of gas generator - in fixing, positioning and sealing arrangement

Arrangement secures, positions and seals a sheath-type thermocouple element in the centre of the rotary grate of a pressure-type gas generator. Several features and variants are claimed. USE/ADVANTAGE - Other thermocouple arrangements for measuring these gas-generator temps. have not been able to withstand the rough working conditions of the rotary grate without giving trouble. The proposed arrangement which overcomes such difficulties enables the thermocouple element to be fitted above the grate centre, in a position where it can assist in the improved operation of these gas generators.
