[Also in Division E2] The ground-engaging tensioned track members of a tracked vehicle are pivotally connected by three cylindrical rods extending through at least three cylindrical holes in the members, each hole diameter exceeding that of the circle circumscribing the rods in a plane transverse to their axes when they are parallel, side by side and contact each other, and preferably being less than that of the circle similarly circumscribing the rods when they are side by side against each other with their axes in a common plane. The rods, of substantially equal diameter, are retained in the holes by collars 15 bolted to rod 6. Collar stems 16 and rod 6 have mating bevels to prevent their relative rotation. The collars may close the holes to retain lubricant. The holes may each have a metal sleeve 4. |
