Liquid cosmetic composition of the two-phase type, containing (a) an aqueous phase, (b) an oily phase containing a dialkyl phthalate, (c) solid particles which are insoluble in the aqueous phase and in the oily phase, and (d) one or more density-equilibrating agents. The composition has the advantage of being film-forming, of having rapid penetration, of imparting freshness and softness to the skin, of providing for good retention of the perfume and of having an aesthetically attractive appearance.
