PURPOSE:To form an image without scumming, uneveness of picture elements and with high quality by a method wherein under a condition in which the surface of a recording body which has a plurality of micro pores is brought into contact with a contact material which is selected among a liquid, vapor, and a solid which becomes a liquid or generates a liquid or vapor at a temperature <= decreasing start temperature of the recessing contact angle of the recording body, they are selectively heated to >= decreasing start temperature of the recessing contact angle of the recording body surface. CONSTITUTION:A recording body A1 is selectively heated by a thermal head 2, in response to image signals, and when an ink is fed on the surface of the recording body A1 from an ink feeding porous roll 3, a region in which a recessing contact angles is decreased is formed on the surface of the recording body A1, and the ink adheres selectively to the region, and the adhered ink enters ink passing micro pores 9. By transferring the ink entered the ink passing micro pores 9 to a body to be transferred while pressing it by a back-up roll 8, a clear recording image without scumming can be obtained. |
