<p>- The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for shaping and clamping thin workpieces of large dimensions in a predetermined calculated profile, of the type comprising a plurality of adjustable supports equipped, respectively, at one of their ends, with orientable gripping heads against which the said thin workpiece is capable of being applied. - According to the invention, the apparatus comprises controllable displacement means (4) each carrying the said gripping heads (3) and linked, respectively, to the said supports (2), the said controllable displacement means making it possible, when the actual profile of the said thin workpiece (30) differs from the predetermined calculated profile, to bring the said thin workpiece to the calculated profile by means of the said gripping heads. <IMAGE></p> |
