Electrodes for measuring properties of moist materials comprise metal electrodes which are surrounded by finely porous, open-celled, pref. ceramic material in their electric charge exchange active regions. USE/ADVANTAGE - Useful for measuring electroconductivity, porosity and moisture content e.g. of porous rocks, pharmaceutical materials and building material aggregates. Polarisation impedance is insignificant even at low moisture levels.
