The sealing device for a pneumatic conveyor system where at least one stationary pipe section (4) is connectable with a second pipe section (6) movable relative thereto uses a hollow cylindrical sealing ring (9) set on at least one of the two pipe sections. The sleeve faces (16) of the sealing ring (9) are for the most part closed except for at least one opening (18) through which the conveyor medium can be passed. The sealing ring preferably has a closed tubular section and can obtain inside a filter (19). ADVANTAGE - The sealing end face is guided on both sides through the mainly closed sleeve face so that there is no deformation which could impair the seal.
