A process to control the work-cycle of a service robot patrolling an open-end spinning frame. At the service stage in which there is an interrupt as the yarn is re-connected in order to spin in, at the moment this is achieved, the service is completed normally, and the robot progresses. The appts. is also claimed. The robot pref. works on a time schedule from the moment it arrives at the spinning unit on the frame, which has a reel changeover or a broken end. The initial task is to pick up the yarn from a full or partly filled reel, open the rotor for cleaning, then close the rotor. USE - There is no possibility of a reduction in the service time on the mechanical side, but a reasonable saving in utilising the tolerance periods which are built in the working of the robot. |
