Powder cloud generator, having a container (12, 14) for a bed of powder (40) and an eductor (28) with suction port (34) connecting into the container head space (36), and vented to atmosphere via duct (42), and provided with air pick-up system (16-20) for entrainment of powder from the free surface (38) of the bed (40), with the novel features that, a filling line (62, 64) connects with the interior of the powder container, and the auxilliary air inlet (42) is at least partly closable. USE/ADVANTAGE - Automatic self-refilling dry powder sprayer, providing a dilute powder in air concentration using separated pick-up and dilution air streams.
