PURPOSE:To prevent power interruption by comparing a load current with a reference value, transmitting a carrier signal on a distribution line if the former is higher, receiving the carrier signal transmitted on the distribution line by means of an alarm generating means connected with the distribution line and then producing an alarm. CONSTITUTION:When the current consumption of a domestic appliance 28 exceeds a predetermined contract current value, a voltage signal which is proportional to a load current detected through a current transformer 3 and fed to a comparator 8 exceeds over a reference voltage Vr. Consequently, the comparator 8 provides an output signal to a carrier transmitter 10 which then transmits a carrier signal on a distribution line 21. The carrier signal is received by an alarm receiving section 27 which thereby actuates a buzzer 26 through a switch 25 and produces an alarm.
