The clip for closing a Fallopian tube, the gas deferens, or a blood vessel, consists of two flexible open rings arranged parallel to each other and attached to a common strip. The ring periphery is changeable by clamping tongues (3,4). The tongues are securable by serated catches (1,8,9). Thus the ends of the strip are held together, when the clip is fitted into place. The clip forms two pressure zones which are separated by a zone which can receive injections of nutrient which enables the tube or vessel to resume its normal function when the clip is removed.
