The lid compartment (1) for rucksacks is adjustable by means of guide-peices (7) on the tightening-strap (3) which is in the form of a strip or is round. The guides (7) are in the form of loops, tunnel-type pieces, holes or slots. - The tightening strap can be completely detached from the rucksack (2) and used as a carrying-belt when the lid compartment (1) is used by itself. Alternatively, the lid compartment (1) can be used just as a gap.
