The islet-cell incubator accommodates foreign-body islet cells in an animal or human body, using membrane capsules permeable to insulin and loaded with these cells. It is connected by unions to the blood-vessel system of the body so that the loaded capsules contained in it are directly moistened by free-flowing blood. The capsules can be accommodated in a sleeve with openings on the lengthwise axis, in turn contained in a preferably elastic casing with unions to the blood vessels. ADVANTAGE - No choking by deposits of connective tissue.
