The linear motor stator consists of insulated yoke core laminations with grooves in the core, and a separate toothed laminations, or a core of such, coacting with the yoke core. The toothed laminations (4) extend at 90 deg offset w.r.t. yoke core laminations (13) and are inserted into the yoke core grooves (14). Pref the toothed laminations are grouped into cores (5), fitted into the yoke core grooves with a press fit. ADVANTAGE - Low-cost precise mfr, compact design, and improved efficiency.
