The pallet for a mfg. process includes two parallel base frame beams (20) for the location of U-shaped rails (30) which support the components. During the mfg. cycle, the support rails are moved along the pallet frame. The underside of each support rail is provided with a spring-loaded plunger (40), which engages fitting slots on the edge of the pallet frame. A retractable tool (60) above the pallet is used to disengage the plunger, in order to move the support rail to the next position.
