PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a clear image at a recording after a device has left to stand for a long period of timer without change of the physical property value of a recording agent by atmosphere by a method wherein a recording agent under a solid state is used, and the solid state recording agent is dissolve, dispersed or adsorbed by a contact material adhered to a latent image, at the image development process. CONSTITUTION:Heating in response to image signals is added on the surface of a recording body from a thermal head 43 to form a latent image S, and a solid state recording agent 3a is dissolved, dispersed or adsorbed by a contact material 3 adhered to the latent image part S, and a recording agent-containing adhered liquid 3b is adhered to the latent image part S to develop an image. Then, when this recording agent-containing adhered liquid 3b is transferred to a recording paper 61, a desired image can be obtained. In this case, the solid recording agent 3a is fed to a recording body 7 by, e.g. a recording agent replenishing roller 51 for which the recording agent 3a is fitted around a remaining member 71. The solid state recording agent to be used is normally solid at a temperature which is not higher than 50 deg.C, and its major components are dye pigment and combining agent. |
