PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for skin external preparation containing an extract obtained by extracting leaf of Diospyros Kaki L.f. or fruit of Hovenia dulcis Thunberg with a hydrophilic organic solvent, having excellent anti- inflammatory property and reduced in stimulation to skin. CONSTITUTION:Leaves of Diospyros Kaki L. f. and/or fruits of Hovenia dulcis Thunberg are extracted using a hydrophilic organic solvent, preferably alcohols, glycols or ketones and the resultant extract is used directly or by partially concentrating or diluting. The content of extract in the composition is preferably 0.1-5wt.% in the case of extract being 0.5wt.% as dried residue. |
