<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the skew during the introduction of recording paper and to obtain highly reliable bookbinding by moving left and right jogger fences to the first, second and third stop positions corresponding to the lateral size of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end of recording paper is introduced into a jogger part, a right jogger fence 5 and a left jogger fence 6 become the first stop position and, after a predetermined time is elapsed from the point of time when the leading end of the recording paper is introduced into the jogger part, they become the second stop position and, after a predetermined time is elapsed from the point of time when the rear end of the recording paper is introduced into the jogger part, they become the third position. When the distances between both jogger fences at the respective stop positions are set to L1, L2, L3, the relation of L1>L3 is formed and the recording paper can be easily introduced even in such case that lateral registration becomes irregular when the leading end of the recording paper is introduced into the jogger part and, since the jogger fences are nearer to the end surfaces of the recording paper in the lateral direction as compared with the first stop position during the introduction of the recording paper, the skew during introduction can be prevented. In the case of L3, both jogger fances 5, 6 almost come into contact with the recording paper.</p> |
