The transport vehicle with an exchangeable load carrying frame with frame members (54) which can be raised and lowered by a power driven lifting mechanism (86). Projections in the form of wing collars (42) are attached to the lifting mechamism to support extension (58) of the frame members during the raising and lowering actions.
