RAN 4050/29 Inflammatory bowel diseases and other leukotriene -mediated inflammations of the intestinal mucosa are treated therapeutically by the oral, rectal or parenteral administration of 6-acetyl-7-¢5-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propyl-phenoxy)pentyloxy!-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-2-carboxylic acid, its,enantiomers, salts and lower alkyl esters.
