Improved internal-combustion engine which may have two, four or more cylinders and be provided so that it can work in internal-combustion systems using gasoline or diesel fuel, and it has the particular feature that the parts exposed to high temperatures, such as the cylinder heads, sleeves and pistons, are made from ceramic material, which makes it possible for the engine to work without cooling of any type, but just with a small amount of cooling for the oil used in the remaining parts such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, bearings, etc., which consist of conventional metallic materials. The pistons are mounted in piston carriers which slide in a guide sleeve formed by two halves and housed in a bed, said guide sleeve being connected to the ceramic sleeves in which the pistons are displaced without friction with said sleeves, the latter being connected overall to the corresponding ring-carrier ring, the rings being located in the lower part of the ceramic sleeve. <IMAGE>
