INK COMPOSITION FOR INK JET RECORDING

PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording ink composition having excellent stability and heat resistance during storage and use and giving printed images having excellent visibility, water resistance, light resistance and discoloration resistance by compounding one or more dyes comprising specific free acids, water and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink composition capable of being sufficiently used on plain paper and giving a preferable color tone as black color comprises (A) at least one of (i) a dye of formula I as the free acid, (ii) a dye of formula II [X is group of formula III or IV; Y is halogen, OH, NHCH2CH2OH, N(CH2 CH2OH)2] as the free acid. (iii) a dye of formula V (R1, R2 are group of formula VI, VII and VIII) as the free acid, and (iv) a dye of formula IX as the free acid, (B) an organic solvent such as butanediol or ethylene glycol, and (C) water.
