The invention relates to a device for use on a chair 1 and intended partially to relieve the load on the spine of a seated person 2. The rear part of the chair 1 has an upwardly projecting post 3, the upper end 17 of which has an articulately secured 18 arm 4 which is directed at least essentially horizontally forwards over the seat and which at its forward-directed end 20 has a hook 5 for a lifting and/or supporting harness 6. A pull rod 7 comprising an electric screw motor with worm gearing 39 acts upon the backward-projecting end 26 of the arm 4 for raising and lowering of the hook 5. It is manoeuvred by means of a circuit breaker 38 on the armrest 14 of the chair and by limit switches 48,50. <IMAGE> |
