The sedimentation tank applies to purification engineering for sedimentation of insoluble particles from natural and waste waters. It has a higher code and the arrangement of more tanks is possible. It consists of a dismountable and a monolithic part. The dismountable part includes limiting panels and strip foundations beneath. The monolithic part includes a sedimentation chamber (4), which consists of collecting ducts (10) in its top part, lamellar modules (8) in its middle part and a distributing water-supply system (5) in its bottom part. The sedimentation chamber (4) is connected to bilaterally located sedimentation compaction chambers with mud baffle windows (7) in their top part and a discharging system (12) in the bottom part. Between the collecting ducts (10) is situated a central headrace (1) which is connected to inlet pipes (3), located in the bottom part of a central accessible gallery (11).<IMAGE>
